Kane Psychology is primarily an out-of-network practice. We are happy to provide detailed superbills that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your specific plan and benefits. At this time, Kane Psychology is in-network only with the Northwell Direct plan (the health insurance plan for Northwell employees and their families). Please note that in-network participation may be limited to certain providers and services.

Fees for individual psychotherapy sessions range from $200–$300 per session, depending on the clinician. Kane Psychology also offers a limited number of reduced-fee therapy slots with our psychology intern, which can be a more cost-effective option for individuals and families seeking care.

A superbill is a detailed receipt for mental health services that includes the information insurance companies typically require for out-of-network reimbursement (such as provider credentials, diagnostic and service codes, and dates of service). After your session, we can provide you with a superbill, which you may submit directly to your insurance company for consideration of out-of-network benefits. Superbills are typically provided monthly but can be provided more frequently if you like. Reimbursement amounts vary by plan, and we recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your specific out-of-network coverage and any deductible requirements.

Our psychology intern is a second year doctoral student, who works closely with a licensed clinical psychologist to ensure that your child receives thoughtful, high-quality care. The supervising psychologist meets regularly with the intern to discuss cases, guide treatment planning, and provide ongoing support and oversight. This collaborative approach allows your child to benefit from careful, attentive therapy while also offering families a more affordable option, without compromising the quality or integrity of care.
