Psychotherapy for

Adults

In our busy lives, we could all benefit from dedicated time to explore our needs.

Psychotherapy with adults focuses on insight, growth, and meaningful change. Our lives are dominated by patterns, all of which served an important purpose for us at some point in time. As we grow and circumstances change, these patterns may end up being more hurtful than helpful, which contributes to feeling stuck. At Kane Psychology, our clinicians pull from an eclectic background of modalities to create a customized approach for each patient, designed to help them better understand the patterns, emotions, and life experiences which may be contributing to distress. Through a supportive, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship, clients are given space to reflect, process, and build greater self-awareness.

Therapy for adults also involves developing practical tools for managing stress, improving relationships, regulating emotions, and making values-driven decisions. Our clinicians are skilled at balancing depth with actionable strategies, coupling more immediate symptom relief with deeper insight needed to manage or prevent those symptoms in the future.

Some areas of expertise of our clinicians include, but are not limited to:

  • Obsessive-compulsive disorders and specific phobias

  • Managing and preventing burnout

  • Depression

  • Relationship challenges and navigating family stressors

  • Working with adults with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or other neurodevelopmental disorders
